Yemurai Nyoni specializes in building youth advocacy and accountability networks in low and middle income countries, developing SRHR accountability and advocacy strategies, and facilitating meaningful youth engagement in decision-making on adolescent health. He has over ten years of experience in facilitating civic engagement, with substantive work completed in Africa and Europe. Yemurai has held positions in multiple non-profit boards and has helped facilitate the establishment of youth engagement platforms in Nigeria, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Tanzania, India and the United Kingdom. Through these engagements, he has helped establish and lead initiatives on ending child marriage, maternal mortality reduction, family planning, gender equality, youth employment, youth participation and comprehensive sexuality education.
He holds a BA in Development Studies and International Relations from the University of Westminster, and is the author of, ‘Seeds of Change: Six Letters’.
