Gillian Njika is an independent contractor with 2 decades of experience in Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights and HIV prevention. Her technical expertise and skills include program management, research, and curriculum development. She has adopted different behavior change interventions for parents of pre-adolescents and adolescents to improve communication about sex and sexuality and prevent child sexual abuse; sexual and reproductive health life skills and HIV prevention interventions for adolescents including adolescents living with HIV. Gillian has worked with diverse stakeholders from government, donors, community, academia, and faith institutions to advance evidence-based solutions for improved health and development outcomes. She has provided technical support for program implementation, scale-up, and process monitoring of evidence-based interventions and capacity building in over ten Sub-Saharan countries. Her experience also includes health systems strengthening, policy analysis, and program evaluation. She is especially passionate about working with young people and women to enable them to realize their full potential. Gillian has a Master of Arts in Project Planning and Management from Maseno University and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies from Moi University in Kenya.
