With over a decade of experience working with civil society organizations, philanthropic foundations, and academic institutions, Erick's expertise encompasses technical assistance and applied research on participatory methodologies, capacity building, public policy, advocacy, community feedback, organizational learning, and evaluation.

His previous work focuses on issues such as risk and protection of Human Rights Defenders, Gender Justice, Sexual Rights, Freedom of Expression, and Civic Space. He has produced numerous reports, policy briefs, desk reviews, research papers, and book chapters on these topics.

Erick holds a Master's degree in Theory and Practice of Human Rights from the University of Essex. He is a recipient of the Chevening Scholarship and the Prize for the best performance overall in the Human Rights Centre's Masters programs for 2011-2012.
